Diagnostic Services
Diagnostic Laboratory
Physical exams are very important; however, they are often not enough to diagnose your pet's illness.
Bartlett Animal Hospital is equipped with a state-of-the-art diagnostic laboratory that allows us to measure blood counts,
electrolytes and blood chemistries, with results often available in just a few minutes.
Our lab is staffed by trained, experienced veterinary technicians who can interpret your pet's results quickly and accurately.
Heartworm tests, complete blood counts, blood-chemistry panels, urinalysis and fecal examinations are some of the many laboratory tests that we perform at the hospital.
Having state-of-the-art laboratory equipment means that your pet's results are quickly available—resulting in fast, comprehensive treatment for your pet.
Radiography
X-rays are one of the most useful diagnostic tools for treating your pet. Bartlett Animal Hospital offers dental and standard radiology to our patients. X-rays can aid in spotting orthopedic problems (such as fractures, hip dysplasia and arthritic changes in bones and joints, for example), as well as viewing the heart, lungs, abdomen and other organs.
Ultrasound
Ultrasound is an important, non-invasive diagnostic procedure for your pet. Used primarily for abdominal and cardiac problems, Bartlett Animal Hospital is equipped with the latest veterinary ultrasound technology to help diagnose disease and other health problems quickly and efficiently.
Often considered more exact than x-rays, ultrasound provides our veterinarians with a real-time "movie" of what is happening inside your pet's body.
Ultrasounds can provide a highly-detailed image of your pet's organs, which leads to a fast, accurate diagnosis.
Because the procedure is non-invasive, anesthesia is generally not required, resulting in a less stressful, more comfortable visit for your pet.
